Pigeon Forge drug bust
A Pigeon Forge drug bust seized $100,000 in drugs and 40 firearms at an area business owner’s home.
Authorities also seized an automatic machine gun and scores of ammunition in the home.
David Allen English, of Pigeon Forge, who operates a tattoo store in Gatlinburg is facing charges for the items found in his home.
The Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force acted on a tip that English was selling drugs from the home.

Blount Co. considers scale back in commissioners
Blount County commissioners are considering a proposal to trim back the number of commissioners elected to the board.
The proposed changes would cut the number of commissioners in half, from 21 to 11.
The county Finance Committee met Tuesday to discuss the plans.
County commissioners considered a similar proposal in 1992, but the plans were defeated.

Morristown families
homeless after fire
An apartment building in Morristown on Walters Drive caught fire early Sunday morning leaving four families homeless.
The fire spread to four units in the building starting with a futon in one of the apartments.
