Sevier County’s only brewery is located right in the heart of Pigeon Forge. The Smoky Mountain Brewery, located in the Walden Landing Mall at light number 2B, is a great late night place to go for both locals and tourists.
The restaurant has live music and entertainment nightly. Patrons enjoy the following: Sunday and Monday nights: Karaoke; Tuesdays: a local band, many of the members also work with the Louise Mandrell Theatre; Wednesday: Griffin Brothers; Thursday: Open mike night; and Friday and Saturday: guest bands.
The restaurant features subs, sandwiches, salads, appetizers and specialty pizzas. One Mississippi couple, who have been coming to the area for over 25 years, said they plan their vacation around eating the White Pizza at the restaurant. She said, “It is our favorite place to eat in the whole area and has become a tradition for our family.”
The restaurant features food specials during the week: Tuesday is ½ price pizza day (medium and large only) and Wednesday is $4.99 burger day. All the burgers are made with fresh ground beef. Choose between a regular burger, Ole’ Smoky Burger, Swiss Mushroom Burger, Ranch Burger or a Bacon & Blue Burger. All of the hamburgers are served with French fries.
The facility is locally owned by Michael Chase of the Copper Cellar Corporation, owner of Calhoun’s, Copper Cellar, Chesapeake’s, Cherokee Grill and Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Brewery.
Marty Velas of Bearden Hill Calhoun’s in Knoxville is the brew master for the facility. Brewing is done on Mondays and Tuesdays and takes seven to ten days to ferment. Patrons may try a sampler or purchase pints or mugs of the brew, which contains no preservatives. All the beers are handcrafted in small batches to provide you with the freshest, most flavorful all-natural beers.
Hours are from 11:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Food is served until 11:00 p.m., or midnight on Friday and Saturday.
