The First United Methodist Church offers Solid Rock Café
Looking for a gathering place to meet your friends/family that offers a wholesome, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere? The First United Methodist Church, in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, offers its Solid Rock Café as an alternative Friday night haven, open every Friday, 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. This European street café-decorated coffee house provides carefully selected specialty coffee drinks such as espressos, lattes, and mochas at low prices, as well as a menu of teas and soft drinks and snack food items. Entertainment includes contemporary Christian background music by a guitar player or CD. Board and card games and reading materials are also available to patrons. Also, the First United Methodist Church of Gatlinburg is pleased to offer an alternative worship service, Manna-Fest, every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Manna-Fest features a live Christian 7-piece rock band and an interactive service in a lively, casual setting held at the church’s Solid Rock Café, Sunday evening service appeals to the young at heart and offers a different experience for those looking to connect with God in a nontraditional way.
