Customers of the Sevier County Utility District were treated to a day of fun and food on Friday, June 20, as the folks who bring you natural gas turned out to show how much they appreciate their customers.
The annual event featured plenty of fun for the youngsters, with pony rides, a giant inflatable slide, a petting zoo, a buggy ride, games, and freshly grilled hot dogs with all the trimmings, all under brilliant blue skies.
“We love this event,” one customer said. “It’s a nice chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine with the kids, and my daughter really likes the animals.”
SCU employees manned the attractions for the most part, doing their bit to show the customers how valued they are.
“It’s fun,” one employee, who asked that his name not be mentioned, said. “And it gets me out of work for a day.”
The frolic was held at the SC Utility District’s grounds on Robert Henderson Road in Sevierville.
