Funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Friday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon
Forge with Rev. Bill Maples officiating. Entombment was at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel Mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge.

James E. Patterson Sr., age 88, of Sevierville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2003. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Henry and Bessie Florence Patterson, Son, James E. Patterson Jr. Brothers, Robert, and Roy Patterson, Sister, Helen Vineyard.
He was member of Pigeon Forge Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the medical corps with pride. Survivors: Wife: Hazel Vineyard Patterson Daughters: Rachel E. Wion of Naperville IL, Nancy Myers of Blaine, TN Grandchildren: Richard James Wion, Renee Suzanne Leighner, Christopher Myers, and Melissa Myers, Great-grandchild: Nathaniel James Leighner, Brother: J.C. Patterson of Blaine, TN, Sister: Margaret Collins of W. Lafayette, IN, Brother-in-law: J.P. Vinyard of Blaine, TN. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge, 3290 Parkway Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 or Alzheimer’s Association East Tennessee Chapter 2200 Sutherland Ave Suite 102 Knoxville, TN, 37919.
Grandchildren and Nephews served as pallbearers.
Funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge, with the Rev. W.W. Cope officiating. Interment and graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel 220 Emert St. Pigeon Forge.

Edna Melvina Spurling, 67, of Pigeon Forge died Saturday May 17, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Spurling and Charles Spurling; parents, John and Dicie Ogle; step-son, David Spurling; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors: Brothers and sister-in-law; David Ogle, J.W. and Eula Ogle, Mayford Ogle, 9 step-children, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hurst Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Ogle officiating. Interment followed in Hurst Chapel Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville.
