Looking for some good food? You don’t have far to go. Located at 11510 Chapman Hwy. in Seymour right next to McDonalds is Olde City Bistro Subs & Pizza. The restaurant was originally named Olde City Subs & Pizza but because the owners Greg and Gina Lundy decided to expand from their Pizza and Sub business and add a few splatterings of other types of menu items, including Shrimp Scampi, and some for the best soups in the state they updated the name. I’m a true soup lover and there aren’t many places around to get it, especially as good as they make it. Creamy tomato and potato are a couple of their specialties.
If pizza is your game the owners can cook you up a great selection including all meat and all vegetable versions. The kids love the pizza and that’s a good sign as picky as most kids are. One of my favorite items on the menu is the grilled chicken salad (with the soup of course). Others may prefer their Big Orange chicken wings available in a 50 pack for game days, or a six-pack for nibbling.
The restaurant got their name when they opened Olde City Subs & Pizza in the Olde Town district in Knoxville. “When we found out Yummy’s would be moving out and that we could move closer to home we jumped at the chance,” stated Gina Lundy. The Lundy’s have been married for seven years and Greg has been a Seymour resident for fifteen years.
Dinner plates are priced around $7.99 and they will deliver your dinner right to your door. That’s a nice thing to keep in mind if you’re running late from a long day at work.
“When the weather warms up we’ll be playing music outside again,” said Greg Lundy. Greg is an accomplished musician and singer and is well known in the music industry.
Olde City Bistro Subs & Pizza is opened everyday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm then they close til 4:30 and reopen until 10:00 p.m. weekdays and til 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
If a late night snack is your thing they have a listing of what they call, “Heavenly Desserts” that includes ice cream by the scoop, brownie sundaes, cake by the slice and floats. Why not give them a try or call in your order at 609-3330. I’d recommend it.
