The second annual Seymour Volunteer Fire Department Auction was held Saturday September 14th at the Barn located on Hwy. 411 in Seymour. An array of merchandise was up for bid to raise money for the fire department.
The event, sponsors by the South Knox/Seymour Business and Professional Association brought in over $5,800. President of the association Bettina Kooijman stated, “The auction went very well. I would like to have it bigger and better next year. We had a great turnout. We had more donations than we could auction off so we will use them for another fire department auction in the future. Everyone worked hard, it was a great group event. In addition, everyone was really generous with their donations, businesses and private individuals. We are all thankful and the fire department is happy.”
