On November 7, 2004 Sylvia Mathews, 83 went home to join her loved ones who are waiting for her. She began her glorious journey at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Sylvia was a member of the Williamsburg Baptist Church.
Her husband, Jess Mathews, parents, Madison and Luitisha Bohanan Ogle, grandson, Michael Ogle, brothers, Minyard, Kenneth and Jesse Ogle are waiting for Sylvia. Leaving behind to celebrate her life are her children, Gladys Sutton and husband Junior, Beulah Messer and husband Walter, Ruby Ogle all of Sevierville; grandchildren, Patsy Jane Ogle, Kathy Ramsey and husband Jimmy, Steve Ogle and wife Kathy; great-grandchildren, Joseph Ogle and wife Krystal, Isaac Ogle; great-grandchild, Trista Ogle all of Sevierville; brother, Hugh Ogle and wife Myrtle of Sevierville; sisters, Hazel Sutton of Sevierville and Janice Ogle of Jefferson City.
Besides the immediate family, Sylvia will be missed by many relatives and a host of friends whose lives she has touched. Services were held on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Oliver Ray Williams and Rev. Sonny Webb officiating.
The interment service was on Wednesday, November 10 at Shiloh Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday, November 9 at Rawlings Funeral Home.

Tommy Frank Jennings 59 of Walland died Saturday November 6, 2004 at Maryville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.  He was preceded in death by his Mother: Zora Jennings Graham, Brother: James B. Jennings and his Father, several Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, and Nieces.  Funeral services were held on Monday November 8, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Jim McCulla officiating.  Friends and Family met on Tuesday at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery fora graveside service.  The family received friends on Monday at the funeral home. 

James Harold Carpenter 54 of Tallassee died Saturday November 6, 2004 oneday before his 55th birthday.  He was of the Baptist Faith and was active in the New Live Ministries Christian Center.  He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Millie and Ed Carpenter, Uncle: Otis Carpenter who raised him. He is survived by his Wife: Cora Kay Carpenter and Daughter Rebekah Carpenter both of Tallassee.  Family and friends met at Grandview Cemetery for a Graveside Funeral on Monday November 8, 2004. Services were held with Rev. David Cooper, Rev. Harry Snider, and Rev. Beacher Whitehead officiating.  Friends called at their convenience at the family home in Tallassee.  Memorial Funeral Home was in Charge of Arrangements.
